Market entry communication: Build the brand and drive growth

Context:

SeedBlink is an all-in-one solution for European founders and investors, encompassing equity management, fundraising, investment, and secondaries. Founded in 2020 as the first crowdinvesting platform in CEE, the company grew at a rapid pace opening offices in Bulgaria, Greece, Benelux, DACH. When starting its international expansion, they hired Pi2 to handle the Go-to-Market communication for the first market abroad.

Objectives:

The challenge was clear: build the SeedBlink brand and drive business growth by developing an understanding of the platform’s benefits among startups (why fundraise on the platform), VC partners (why invest alongside private investors) and private investors (why diversify their own portfolios). In addition, communicate a strong value proposition to all stakeholders about the benefits of equity management on the same all-in-one platform.

Approach:

We created a communications strategy to adapt the tools and narrative to the local market, explaining SeedBlink’s purpose through media relations and events. We addressed the tech startup community and VC partners with a well defined narrative, focusing on the people and their needs rather than abstract businesses. For individuals interested in diversifying investment opportunities through the platform, and managing equity, we built a self-explanatory friendly narrative. An approach based on making things effortless and simple – as this is one of our key values in communication.

Solutions:

We handled earned media for new launches and fundraising rounds; we coordinated community events and educational resources crafted to the specifics of each target group to explain what’s in it for them according to the respective local context, from new legislations to shifting market needs. We turned the abstract into the practical, so that startups, VCs and private investors recognise the solutions to their needs in what SeedBlink has to offer them. We combined media relations with networking, community engagement, informal business events & webinars to consolidate SeedBlink’s leading position on the market.

Results:

  • from 0 to €2.4M in investments through SeedBlink within the first 2 years in Bulgaria, in rounds totalling €28.8M
  • 200+ press articles every year (national & international outlets)
  • 60 million impressions on earned media/year
